Kichcha Sudeepa thanks DCM for studio reopening

Actor Kichcha Sudeepa has expressed heartfelt thanks to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar after the seal on the Bigg Boss Kannada studio in Bidadi was lifted. The Jollywood premises, where the reality show is filmed, had been shut down following orders from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) for environmental violations.

Taking to X, Sudeepa wrote, “I sincerely thank Hon. @DKShivakumar sir for the timely support… I truly appreciate the DCM for promptly responding to my call.”

The Vels Studio was sealed due to non-compliance with the Air and Water Acts, including the lack of basic operational consent, inactive sewage treatment, and improper waste management. SS Lingaraju of the KSPCB confirmed, “They didn’t even apply for the mandatory consent to operate, despite repeated notices.”

However, DK Shivakumar stepped in, directing officials to reopen the studio with conditions. He stated, “While environmental compliance remains a top priority, the studio will be given time to address violations.”

Sudeepa also thanked local leader Nalpad for his support and assured fans that Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 will continue as planned. The show’s production is now back on track, pending environmental corrections.
