The Bigg Boss show has received a big relief from the Bengaluru South district administration. The Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South has granted Jollywood Studios and Adventures, where the show is being filmed, a temporary period of 10 days to resolve the ongoing issues.

Vishwas Gowda, the lawyer representing Jollywood Studios, said, “Our clients met the Deputy Commissioner today and discussed the matter. The DC has now granted 10 days’ time to settle the issue.”

Earlier, the studio had filed a writ petition in the High Court questioning the sealing of the Bigg Boss house. A notice had been issued on October 6, and the premises were sealed on October 7. After the Deputy Commissioner granted 10 days of relief, the studio decided to withdraw the writ petition from the High Court.

However, the Bengaluru South district administration has not yet released any official order. Once the official order is published, the duration of the temporary relief will become clear.

The Bigg Boss house, located in Jollywood Studios (Wales Studio and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.), had been sealed by the district administration earlier. Following this, Jollywood Studios immediately approached the High Court with an urgent petition. The High Court accepted the petition and scheduled the hearing before Justice Suraj Govindaraj at 2:30 pm.

The petition stated that just as the Bigg Boss show was about to begin, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) chairman issued an order in haste without hearing their side. It mentioned that around 2,000 people are directly or indirectly involved in the show’s production. The petition also alleged that the order was issued with the intention of causing business loss to the studio.

Therefore, the plea requested the High Court to stay the Pollution Control Board’s order and to restrain any other authorities from issuing similar directives against Jollywood Studios.

Give Us Time to Correct Mistakes: Jollywood Management

Following the sealing of the Bigg Boss house for violating pollution control rules, the management of Jollywood Studios met officials at the Ramanagara Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office and submitted a request seeking 15 days’ time to rectify the lapses.

The Bigg Boss Season 12 show is currently being filmed at Jollywood Studios, where more than 400 workers are employed. The management stated that the sudden shutdown would severely affect the workers’ livelihoods. Admitting that mistakes were made, the Jollywood administration appealed to the DC to grant time to correct them.

At present, the Jollywood management is holding discussions with the Deputy Commissioner. If the talks yield positive results and the DC grants conditional permission, the studio could reopen as early as today. Since the Deputy Commissioner also serves as the District Magistrate, he holds the authority to impose conditions and order the removal of the seal.
