East Central Railway introduces special weekly train services between Muzaffarpur–SSS Hubballi and Danapur–Yesvantpur to manage festive rush.

To handle the surge in passenger demand during the upcoming Deepavali and Chhath festivals, the East Central Railway has announced special weekly train services between Muzaffarpur–SSS Hubballi and Danapur–Yesvantpur. The services will run for a limited period to provide additional travel convenience.
The Muzaffarpur–SSS Hubballi–Muzaffarpur Special (Train Nos. 05543/05544) will operate six trips in each direction. Train No. 05543 will depart from Muzaffarpur at 12:45 hrs every Friday between October 10 and November 14, 2025, reaching SSS Hubballi at 12:20 hrs on Monday. In the return direction, Train No. 05544 will leave SSS Hubballi at 09:00 hrs every Tuesday from October 14 to November 18, arriving in Muzaffarpur at 05:00 hrs on Friday. The train will halt at key stations such as Motipur, Gorakhpur, Kanpur Central, Bhopal, Nagpur, Kacheguda, and Tumakuru. It will consist of 22 coaches, including AC, Sleeper, and General compartments, along with a Divyangjan Coach.
The Danapur–Yesvantpur–Danapur Special (Train Nos. 03261/03262) will operate twelve trips in each direction. Train No. 03261 will leave Danapur at 10:00 hrs every Saturday from October 11 to December 27, 2025, reaching Yesvantpur at 21:30 hrs on Tuesday. Train No. 03262 will return from Yesvantpur at 07:00 hrs every Tuesday between October 14 and December 30, arriving in Danapur at 12:00 hrs on Thursday. Major stops include Ara, Prayagraj Chheoki, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Balharshah, and Yelahanka. This train will also have 22 coaches, including AC, Sleeper, and General categories.
Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway, Hubballi, stated that these special trains aim to ease travel during the festive season and ensure smooth passenger movement.
