Rishab Shetty, ‘Kantara 1’ Team Meet Delhi CM

Actor-director Rishab Shetty, who is receiving overwhelming praise for his latest release Kantara: Chapter 1, recently met Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta along with his team at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan. The meeting celebrated Indian cinema’s growing influence in showcasing the nation’s cultural, spiritual, and traditional roots.

Sharing the moment on her official social media handle, CM Rekha Gupta posted a photo with the Kantara team and appreciated their work. In her caption, she wrote, It was wonderful meeting Rishab Shetty, the actor and director of Kantara: Chapter 1, and his team. The film beautifully portrays India’s spiritual depth and cultural richness. Works like Kantara carry our heritage to the global stage. Wishing the team continued success on this cinematic journey.

A prequel to the 2022 Kannada blockbuster Kantara, this chapter is set in the 4th Century AD, exploring the mystical origins of the land of Kantara. The story delves into its sacred myths, divine connections, and ancient conflicts, blending folklore and faith into an epic narrative.

Written, directed, and led by Rishab Shetty, the film features Sapthami Gowda, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, PD Satish Chandra, and others. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, it includes stunning visuals by Arvind S. Kashyap and music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath.

Kantara: Chapter 1 continues its successful theatrical run, earning ₹263 crore across India in all languages.
