Rajya Sabha member Iranna Kadadi has called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who will visit on October 4 to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various projects, to divide Belagavi and declare a new district. Speaking to the media on Friday, Kadadi highlighted the long-standing demand to split the geographically large Belagavi district to improve administration and governance. He emphasized that creating a new district would ensure better management, faster delivery of services, and focused attention on local issues. Kadadi urged the state government to take prompt action, stating that the division is necessary for balanced development and efficient administration.
