Hong Kong Sixes 2025 scheduled from November 7

New Delhi

The highly anticipated Hong Kong Sixes was officially announced at the Conrad Hotel on Tuesday, confirming the 2025 edition will be held from November 7 to 9 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. Known for its unique format and exciting pace, the Sixes is one of cricket’s most iconic tournaments, with a history spanning 33 years. Over the decades, global cricketing stars and rising talents have graced the event, making it a launchpad for future champions.

Burji Shroff, Chairperson of Cricket Hong Kong, China, emphasized the community spirit behind the tournament: “The Hong Kong Sixes is more than cricket—it unites people from all walks of life and celebrates our city, culture, and sporting talent.” The tournament has received continued support from the Hong Kong government, including M Mark status funding from the Major Sports Events Committee.

This year’s edition will feature 12 international teams, including India, Australia, and host Hong Kong, China. Matches will follow the traditional six-over, six-a-side format, with four pools leading into quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, totaling 29 matches over three days.

A Community Fan Park will run alongside the tournament, featuring mini-cricket experiences, sports and cultural booths, and masterclasses. The initiative ensures access for people from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic minorities, underprivileged communities, and persons with disabilities, with complimentary tickets provided.

Anuraag Bhatnagar, Director of Marketing, said, “With legends and emerging stars on display and SONY SPORTS broadcasting globally, we expect record viewership and unparalleled excitement.”

The Hong Kong Sixes 2025 promises high-octane cricket, cultural celebrations, and opportunities for community engagement, making it one of the most eagerly awaited sporting events of the year.
