FM Sitharaman to inaugurate 4th KEC 2025 on Oct 3

A high-level session on global economy, led by Dr. PK Mishra, will address reforms and key challenges

The fourth Kautilya Economic Conclave (KEC 2025) will begin on October 3, with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman opening the event in the national capital. This conclave will focus on India’s growth and how the country is handling uncertain times in the world.

The event will end on October 5, with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar sharing his views on India’s foreign and economic policies. The Ministry of Finance shared these details in an official statement on Saturday.

One special session will be led by Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who will discuss new technologies like artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. Experts will join him for this forward-looking talk.

The conclave will also feature a high-level meeting on global economic issues. This session, led by Dr. PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, will bring together top policymakers and economists. They will discuss the state of the world economy and necessary financial reforms.

The theme of KEC 2025 is “Seeking Prosperity in Turbulent Times.” It reflects India’s hopes for growth while dealing with global challenges and changing politics.

More than 75 international participants from over 30 countries will join the event. Topics will cover Asia’s rise as a global economic hub, changes in the BRICS group, financial stability, and new industrial policies.

Notable guests include Jean-Claude Trichet, former Governor of Banque de France, and RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra. Other international leaders and experts from Indonesia, Japan, China, the UK, and more will also attend.

The conclave aims to mix India’s local priorities with global views to find ways to grow despite uncertain times.
