Bengaluru West Commissioner inspects city roads

Residents hopeful as commissioner urges swift repairs, tackling potholes and waterlogging across key neighborhoods.

On Saturday morning, Bengaluru West City Corporation Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V conducted an extensive inspection of key city areas, including Malleshwaram and Rajajinagar, by riding a bike alongside officials to assess road conditions and ongoing departmental work.

The inspection focused primarily on identifying potholes, waterlogging spots, and other infrastructure issues that have been affecting smooth traffic flow and public safety. The commissioner personally observed stretches where road surfaces were damaged and noted areas requiring urgent repair. Officials accompanying him recorded the observations to ensure timely action by the respective departments.

Dr. Rajendra emphasized the importance of regular monitoring and proactive maintenance to prevent minor road issues from escalating into major hazards. He also highlighted the need for efficient coordination between the engineering teams and civic authorities to complete pending works without delays. The hands-on inspection reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing citizens’ concerns and improving road conditions in Bengaluru West. Residents in Malleshwaram and Rajajinagar, who have long complained about potholes and disrupted traffic, are expected to benefit from faster repair works following this initiative.

Commissioner Dr. Rajendra concluded the inspection by directing officials to prioritize the most damaged areas and submit progress reports regularly to ensure accountability and effective maintenance. This proactive approach marks a step toward improving infrastructure and enhancing urban mobility in the city.
