Amit Shah urges strong NDA victory in Bihar

Patna

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday addressed about 4,000 BJP workers from Bhagalpur, Kosi, and Seemanchal regions, urging a strong victory for the NDA in Bihar Assembly elections. He said BJP workers fight for the nation, unlike other parties whose leaders focus on their own seats.

Shah targeted Opposition leaders, saying Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi only seek personal and party gains. “For them, this election is about power. For BJP, it is about securing the nation,” he said.

He called for BJP to not only retain seats but also win Kishanganj, the only seat lost in 2020. “With a two-thirds majority, we will expel infiltrators one by one. Lalu and Rahul want to protect them, we will remove them,” Shah declared.

Shah linked elections with the issue of illegal immigration, urging removal of voting rights for infiltrators while ensuring no Indian citizen is denied theirs. He accused past Congress-RJD governments of corruption and misrule and warned Bihar against a return to “Lalu Raj” or “Jungle Raj.”

Speaking of achievements, Shah said: “First Diwali celebrates Lord Ram’s return. The second celebrates PM Modi sending ₹10,000 to 75 lakh ‘Jeevika Didis.’ The third marks reduction or removal of GST on over 395 items. The fourth will celebrate an NDA government in Bihar with over 160 seats.”

He urged BJP workers to work hard to ensure a decisive mandate, calling the election a choice between development under PM Modi and corruption under the Opposition.
