New Gram Panchayat Hall Inaugurated in Mayaganahalli

CH NEWS

A new first-floor Gram Panchayat hall was inaugurated on Friday by MLA H.A. Iqbal Hussain, marking a significant step in strengthening local governance and infrastructure in the taluk. Speaking at the event, the MLA highlighted that the government has empowered local panchayats with greater authority to implement essential developmental works. He noted that several permanent projects worth ₹13 crore have already been undertaken in the Mayaganahalli Gram Panchayat under his grants.

The newly Inaugurated hall, completed at a cost of ₹30 lakh, features modern facilities including a compound wall, flooring, painting, and a dedicated office space for the village administrative officer. Hussain praised the unity and efforts of Panchayat members in executing the project and described the building as a model initiative for other panchayats. He added that true respect comes not from holding positions but from delivering works that earn the admiration of villagers.

Former Gram Panchayat president M.H. Ranjith urged the MLA to prioritize establishing a Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) high-tech school in the village, emphasizing that it would provide quality education to local children and prepare them for a competitive future.

Panchayat Development Officer D.L. Madegowda shared updates on ongoing initiatives, noting that 80% of e-accounts have been completed, proposals for four sub-villages have been submitted, and steps have been taken for crematorium development. The event was attended by Urban Development Authority Chairman A.B. Chetan Kumar, local leaders, and several Gram Panchayat members, including President Geetha Paramashivayya. The Inauguration of the hall is seen as a step toward better governance, improved civic facilities, and enhanced community engagement in Mayaganahalli.
