Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists laid siege to the Taluk Panchayat office in Bailhongal town and staged a protest, alleging that the Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer was obstructing the construction of the Gramdevi Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society building in Chikkabagewadi in the taluk.
Deepak Gudaganatty, President of district unit of the forum, said, according to the gram panchayat map, the land has been decided in the name of the association. The e-property and the title deed have also been done. The taluk panchayat Executive Officer is saying that the court has ordered the work to be stopped at the stage of completion of the building work.
“It is not right to bow to someone’s pressure and obstruct the construction of a building. If such an attitude is not stopped, a fierce struggle will have to be waged,” he warned.
Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jinnur, CPI Pramod Yaligara accepted the appeal. Taluk unit President Vitthal Kadakola, District Unit General Secretary Dasharath Banoshi, taluk unit vice president Kushal Tanjekar, convener Sudhiragouda Patil, Madiwala Poojeri, Manikantha Mattikoppa, Abhishek Bannur, Mallikarjuna Bharamannavara, Akshaya Poojeri, Prakash Thigadi were present.
