The Jaipur Polo Team moved into the semifinals of the Gen Amar Singh Kanota Cup with a strong 10–5 win over Navy Kanota Polo at the RPC Ground. The match, played on Friday, saw Jaipur dominate from the start and confirm their semifinal place, set for September 27 (today) at the same venue.
HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur once again showed his skills, scoring five goals and continuing his fine form this season. His teammate Lance Watson added two, while Angad Kalaan contributed three, making it a balanced team effort.
For Navy Kanota Polo, Kr. Pratap Singh Kanota worked hard, scoring four out of his team’s five goals. Despite his fight, the Navy side struggled to stop Jaipur’s sharp attacks.
The victory highlighted Jaipur’s attacking style, thrilling the crowd with quick goals and smooth teamwork. Their next challenge will be against the All Stars Polo Team by Suhana in the semifinals on Saturday.
This win followed another exciting match on Thursday, when Jaipur edged past Aravali Polo Team 6–5. That game remained tied at 5–5 after four chukkers, before Jaipur clinched the win in the fifth. Aravali’s defenders, including Juan Martin Juri, Hurr Ali, and Kr. Kuldeep Singh Rathore, tested Jaipur until the very end.
Captain Padmanabh Singh, who was named “Icon of India” by The Leela last year, scored two key goals in that match, while Kalaan added one. Jaipur’s recent victories at the Sawai Man Guard Cup and Chinkara Cup show their growing confidence and form this season.
