GBA chief inspects road and health facilities

 Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K.V. on Thursday carried out an inspection of civic works and health services in Mahalakshmipuram, Bengaluru West. The visit covered multiple locations, including road repair activities and public health facilities.

At Ward 49, the Commissioner personally inspected the ongoing road repair works from Shankaramatha Circle to Geleyara Balaga. He reviewed the progress of pothole-filling and road restoration efforts, stressing the need for high-quality materials and timely completion to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow. Dr. Rajendra directed officials to strictly monitor the works and maintain accountability to avoid recurring issues.

Continuing his visit, the Commissioner proceeded to Ward 48, where he inspected the dialysis center and the Urban Primary Health Centre in Mahalakshmipuram. He interacted with staff and patients, reviewed the availability of essential medical equipment, and inquired about the quality of services being provided. Specific instructions were issued to the concerned officials to improve patient care, enhance hygiene standards, and ensure uninterrupted medical support for residents. Highlighting the importance of strong public health infrastructure, Dr. Rajendra emphasized that facilities such as dialysis centers and primary health units are vital for urban communities. He assured that the authority would take steps to address gaps in service delivery and improve accessibility for citizens.
