Real Madrid kept their perfect start to the La Liga season alive with a 4-1 victory against newly promoted Levante. The win marked their continued dominance at the top of the table.

Vinicius Jr., back in the starting eleven after a recent controversy over substitution, scored a fine goal in the 27th minute. Ten minutes later, Franco Mastantuono doubled the lead, giving Madrid full control at halftime.

Levante briefly threatened a comeback when Etta Eyong headed in during the 53rd minute. However, Kylian Mbappe quickly restored Madrid’s cushion with a penalty in the 63rd minute. Just two minutes later, Mbappe struck again, sealing the win and confirming Madrid’s 100 percent record this season.

Coach Xabi Alonso praised his team’s effort, calling it a “complete performance.” He also highlighted Vinicius’s decisive display and said the focus would now shift to the upcoming derby clash.

Elsewhere in La Liga, Villarreal secured a dramatic 2-1 away win over Sevilla. Tani Oluwaseyi opened the scoring in the 16th minute, but Djibril Sow equalized early in the second half. Just when Sevilla looked likelier to win, Manor Solomon scored on the break with only five minutes left, sealing victory for Villarreal.

Athletic Bilbao and Girona drew 1-1. Azzedine Ounahi’s ninth-minute strike put Girona ahead, but Mikel Jauregizar equalized with a long-range shot just after halftime.

In another thriller, Espanyol held Valencia 2-2. Valencia led twice through Arnaut Danjuma and Hugo Duro, but Leandro Cabrera and a stoppage-time equalizer from Javi Puado ensured Espanyol snatched a late point.
