Ayurveda Day Celebration

The 10th National Ayurveda Day – 2025, coinciding with Shri Dhanvantari Jayanti, will be celebrated on September 23 at 10 a.m. at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Gadag. The event is jointly organized by the Central and State Governments, AYUSH Department Bengaluru, Gadag District Administration, District Panchayat, and the District AYUSH Department.
Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti and Health & Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundurao will grace the event with their presence. The inauguration will be performed by the State Minister for Law, Justice, Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation & Tourism, along with Gadag District In-charge Minister Dr. H.K. Patil.
Several prominent personalities are expected to attend as chief guests, including former Chief Minister and Haveri MP Basavaraj Bommai, government secretaries, and legislative council members such as Salim Ahmed. Other distinguished leaders include G.S. Patil, P.C. Gaddigoudar, S.V. Sankanur, Pradeep Shettar, C.C. Patil, and Dr. Chandru Lamani. Heads of district authorities and development boards will also participate.
Special invitees include Principal Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Harsh Gupta, Secretary of Planning & Coordination Ramanadeep Chowdhary, AYUSH Director Vipin Singh, District Collector & CEO C.N. Sridhar, and Senior Police Officer Rohan Jagdish. District AYUSH Officer Dr. Jayapal Singh P. Samorekar will extend the welcome to all attendees.
Ahead of the main event, an Ayurveda awareness rally will be held on September 22 at 9 a.m., starting from the Government Ayurveda Hospital, Betageri campus. The rally will pass through Police Quarters, Shri Neelkanth Math, Shrimailaralingeshwara Temple, Shri Ambabhavani Circle, and Shri Sahasrarjuna Circle, returning to the hospital campus.
The celebration aims to promote Ayurveda and traditional health practices throughout the district, emphasizing wellness, holistic living, and the benefits of integrating Ayurveda into daily life.
