GBA officials inspect Kengeri ward roads

On Friday morning, Dr. Rajendra K.V., Commissioner of Bengaluru West City Municipal Corporation, visited the Mastering Centre in Ward 159, Kengeri, to inspect local roads and pedestrian pathways. The visit aimed to evaluate infrastructure conditions and ensure timely corrective measures for public safety and accessibility.

During the inspection, Dr. Rajendra provided official instructions and guidance to municipal officers regarding road maintenance, pedestrian safety, and overall civic management within the ward. The review focused on identifying areas needing immediate repair, improving footpaths, and ensuring proper traffic management at key junctions. The exercise was conducted alongside Joint Commissioner Arathi Anand, who coordinated with technical teams and ward officials to assess existing infrastructure and prioritize upgrades. The officials emphasized the importance of maintaining safe and well-managed streets for residents, particularly in high-traffic zones, and stressed timely reporting and resolution of any civic issues.

Officials also reviewed the effectiveness of ongoing maintenance programs and highlighted the need for citizen feedback in identifying problem areas. According to Dr. Rajendra, such on-ground inspections are crucial to ensure that municipal authorities can proactively address infrastructure challenges and improve the quality of life for residents.

The visit underscores the Greater Bengaluru Authority’s commitment to continuous monitoring of civic facilities, ensuring that roads, footpaths, and public amenities are maintained to meet the growing demands of the city. Residents can expect further improvements in road quality and pedestrian infrastructure following the directives issued during this field inspection.
