DK Shivakumar to attend women’s summit
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met with Smt. K. Ratna Prabha, IAS (Retd.), Former Chief Secretary of Karnataka, and Kanta Naik, Chairperson of the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation, in Bengaluru on Thursday. The meeting included members of the Ubuntu Consortium, an organization working to empower women entrepreneurs across India.
Shivakumar announced that he has been invited as the Chief Guest for the consortium’s flagship event, Together We Grow 2025, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru this November. The summit aims to bring together women entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss strategies for fostering inclusive growth and promoting women-led enterprises. Congratulating the organizers, Shivakumar praised their efforts to build a strong platform that connects women entrepreneurs nationwide. “By creating opportunities and networks, the Ubuntu Consortium is contributing significantly to empowerment and collaboration. I look forward to joining them in celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship and inclusivity,” he said.
Former Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha, who has been actively championing women’s entrepreneurship, highlighted the importance of building sustainable ecosystems where women can thrive in business and leadership. Chairperson Kanta Naik added that the upcoming event will serve as a milestone in promoting skill development and innovation among women across diverse sectors. The Together We Grow 2025 event Is expected to host a wide range of panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking sessions, positioning Bengaluru as a hub for women-led enterprise. Leaders expressed confidence that the summit will strengthen collaborative growth and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.
