Shah: Lalu family incapable of developing Bihar

Patna

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a sharp attack on RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, saying neither he, Rabri Devi, nor Tejashwi Yadav can develop Bihar. Shah emphasized that Bihar’s prosperity depends on a strong NDA government.

Addressing party workers from 10 districts in Dehri, Rohtas, he contrasted the RJD’s past tenure, marked by corruption scandals like the fodder scam and land-for-jobs fraud, with the NDA’s governance, which he said is corruption-free and focused on development. Shah urged the youth to support the NDA, claiming that progress in Bihar is possible only under its leadership. He instructed workers to aim for victories in 80 percent of constituencies in the upcoming elections.

Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, Shah criticized it as a campaign to “save infiltrators” and questioned whether such people should receive ration cards, health benefits, or voting rights.

Shah also highlighted achievements of the Nitish Kumar government, including free electricity for 125 units and increased social pensions. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedication, noting his consistent service without a single day of leave, in contrast to Congress leaders taking frequent foreign trips.

He recounted NDA government initiatives such as Operation Sindoor, airstrikes against enemy targets, construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the upcoming Goddess Sita temple in Sitamarhi, and GST slab reductions benefiting the public.

Acknowledging the BJP-NDA’s poor performance in Shahabad during the 2020 Assembly polls, Shah urged workers to engage every household with the party’s achievements and ensure stronger support to secure a majority government in Bihar this time.
