Taluk Guarantee Implementation Authority Chairman Ashok Mandali said that a survey of beneficiaries eligible for ration cards in Gadag taluk should be conducted jointly by Anganwadi workers and guarantee committee members.
He spoke while presiding over a taluk-level guarantee scheme progress review meeting at the Zilla Panchayat VC Hall of the District Administration Building.
The Panchayat AT schemes implemented by the state government are aimed at making the poor financially empowered and there should be no delay in providing the facilities of these schemes to the eligible beneficiaries. The facilities of the guarantee schemes should be available to the eligible beneficiaries. He said that the concerned officers should work with interest to achieve 100 percent progress of the Pancha Guarantee Schemes.
There should be honesty in the implementation of the guarantee scheme. Transparent administration should be conducted so that the eligible beneficiaries can benefit from it.
Ashok Mandali said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officers to understand the importance of the Panchagarat Scheme and to deliver its full range of facilities to the eligible beneficiaries.
District Guarantee Authority President BB Asuti said that if there are any obstacles for the beneficiaries in availing the Panchagarat Scheme, solutions should be found for such problems. Therefore, he brought to the attention of the meeting that a public meeting would be held in every three panchayats. The rural officials, including the PDO, should respond to the problem on the spot.
