The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned actress Urvashi Rautela as part of its investigation into an alleged money laundering case linked to online betting apps. She has been asked to appear before officials today (September 16) for questioning.
Urvashi is the latest celebrity to be named in the ongoing probe, which has already seen several Tollywood stars questioned, including Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, and Manchu Lakshmi.
While Urvashi is best known for her work in Bollywood, she has also made a mark in Telugu cinema through special appearances in films like Daaku Maharaj, Waltair Veerayya, Skanda, and Agent.
The ED’s investigation aims to uncover the flow of illegal funds through online betting platforms, some of which are believed to have used celebrity endorsements or associations to gain public trust.
As of now, Urvashi has not made any public statement regarding the summons. The agency is continuing to question individuals connected to promotional events or transactions linked to these betting platforms.
More details are expected to emerge following her appearance before the ED.
