The 77th Emmy Awards, held in Los Angeles, saw Apple TV+ comedy The Studio set a new record with 13 wins. The Hollywood satire became the most-awarded show of the year, sweeping both Primetime and Creative Arts categories. It also earned the title of most-awarded freshman comedy in Emmy history.
Seth Rogen won best actor in a comedy, adding to the show’s victories in directing and writing. Alongside Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez, Rogen helped secure The Studio’s historic place in Emmy history. Rogen also tied the record for most Emmys won by an individual in one night.
Netflix’s Adolescence was another strong performer, collecting eight awards, including best limited series. Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, and Erin Doherty earned acting honors, while Jack Thorne and Graham won for writing. The Penguin claimed best lead actress in a limited series, awarded to Cristin Milioti.
Freshman drama The Pitt won best drama series. Noah Wyle took home best actor in a drama, while his co-star Katherine LaNasa won best supporting actress. In total, the show earned five awards.
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert celebrated its first-ever Emmy win for outstanding talk series. The victory came ahead of the show’s announced 2026 finale, receiving a standing ovation.
Hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, the event featured playful rules on acceptance speeches, keeping the ceremony lively. Other winners included The Traitors for reality competition, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver for scripted variety, and SNL50: The Anniversary Special for live variety.
