Hemsworth debuts as Geralt in ‘The Witcher Season 4’ trailer

Washington DC

Fans of The Witcher finally got their first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia in the official trailer for Season 4, released by Netflix on Sunday. The fantasy series will return on October 30, 2025, marking a major change as Hemsworth replaces Henry Cavill in the iconic role.

This season follows the aftermath of Season 3’s chaos. Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) are now separated across a war-torn continent. Despite the growing danger, they each find unexpected allies on their paths, all while trying to reunite as a family. Netflix teased that their journey will test their trust and strength like never before.

Season 4 will include eight episodes, directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Tricia Brock, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Jeremy Webb. The intense storyline and new cast dynamics are expected to bring fresh energy to the series.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich also confirmed that The Witcher will conclude with Season 5. She called the final two seasons “a journey for our family to finally reunite.”

The trailer has sparked strong reactions online as fans react to Hemsworth’s new look and tone, signaling a bold new chapter for the fantasy epic.
