Commissioner urges timely garbage collection and stricter monitoring in city wards

 Bengaluru South City Corporation Commissioner Shri Ramesh conducted an on-site inspection of Shakambari Nagar Ward, focusing on the efficiency of the ward’s waste management operations. During the visit, he verified the mustering of autorickshaws engaged in garbage collection and checked the attendance of pourakarmikas to ensure all personnel were present and active in their duties.

The Commissioner emphasized that proper monitoring of waste collection teams is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the city. Officials accompanying him noted that regular inspections like these are part of a broader strategy to enhance accountability and improve overall service delivery under the city corporation’s waste management programme.
