Law, Accountability

Bangarappa Vows Action Against pro-Pak slogans in Shivamogga

Davangere

Minister Madhu Bangarappa has responded firmly to the allegations of pro-Pakistan sloganeering in Bhadravati, stating that no one will be allowed to act freely against the law in Shivamogga. The law must prevail. Only when the law is respected in our country will we and the public be safe, he said while addressing the media.

Speaking on the issue, he added, “We immediately sent the video to the FSL for verification. They have reported that the words are different from what was alleged. If anyone is found guilty, legal action will be taken against them, whoever they may be.”

Commenting on statements made by Bhadravati MLA Sangamesh and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, he noted, Deve Gowda made similar statements in the past and did not face consequences. He had even said he would leave the country if Modi became Prime Minister, yet now they are walking together in politics.

Regarding the Hassan accident, Bangarappa said, “The full details are not yet known. Such incidents should have precautionary measures. May God give strength to the grieving families. If the incident is illegal, strict action will be taken. The law applies to everyone across the country, including in Maddur.”

On the Dharmasthala case, he criticized political delays, saying, “Some political leaders stayed idle during the CBI investigation and now criticize the SIT. The SIT is working better than expected, and justice will prevail.”

He also spoke about teacher recruitment, stating, “The Nagamohan Das report is ready. We will recruit 18,500 teachers, including 5,000 for aided schools. This will strengthen the education department. The Chief Minister has been very supportive, and we are committed to doing good work in the interest of children.”
