White topping work closes Rajkumar Road

Motorists in Bengaluru are facing significant traffic disruptions as white topping work continues on Dr. Rajkumar Road, a key route connecting Majestic to Tumakuru Road. The ongoing construction, expected to last for the next three months, has forced traffic authorities to implement alternative routes for both private and public vehicles.

Two-wheelers and cars traveling from Majestic can now move only up to Lulumal Junction and Navarang Signal, while buses are being rerouted through the underpass near Lulumal Junction to reach Basham Circle and then proceed via West of Chord Road to Tumakuru Road. Traffic congestion has intensified near Lulumal Junction as motorists remain unaware of the alternate routes. Traffic police are actively managing the situation and directing vehicles on-site to ensure smoother flow.

For private vehicles and buses heading from Majestic to Tumakuru, officials recommend using the Rajajinagar entrance underpass near Lulumal, passing through Basham Circle and Dobighat Warrior Bakery, then turning left toward Westaf Card Road and JSS Junction. Vehicles traveling toward Rajajinagar are advised to take a left at Navarang Signal, continue along 19th Main Road and Modi Bridge, and turn right to reach their destination.

Commuters have expressed frustration over the delays, highlighting the inconvenience caused during peak hours. Traffic authorities have urged motorists to follow the suggested diversions and exercise patience while construction work is underway. The white topping project, once completed, is expected to significantly improve road quality and ease future traffic flow along this busy corridor connecting multiple districts.
