Bengaluru Police Launch Wellness Initiative to Support Personnel
Bengaluru City Police, in collaboration with Happiest Health, has introduced Project Khushi, a three-month phygital wellness program aimed at preventing and managing lifestyle-related diseases among police personnel. The initiative, launched on Thursday, seeks to address the health challenges faced by officers who often work under stressful conditions and irregular schedules.
The formal unveiling took place at the Commissioner’s Office, where Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, Seemant Kumar Singh, IPS, inaugurated the program. The event was attended by senior officers, healthcare specialists, and representatives from Happiest Health, marking the beginning of a structured approach to improve fitness and well-being within the force.
Project Khushi is designed as a hybrid model, combining physical sessions with digital health resources. The program will focus on key areas such as balanced nutrition, regular fitness routines, mental wellness, stress management, and preventive care. Experts will conduct workshops, provide personalized guidance, and track progress through digital tools, ensuring that officers can access health support both on duty and off.
Commissioner Singh underscored the significance of maintaining the health of police personnel, stressing that their well-being is essential for delivering efficient public service. He expressed optimism that the program would encourage officers to adopt healthier lifestyles and set a precedent for integrating wellness initiatives into the functioning of law enforcement agencies.
The collaboration with Happiest Health reflects a growing recognition of the need for structured wellness programs within high-pressure professions. By investing in its personnel’s health, Bengaluru City Police aims to create a resilient, motivated, and healthier workforce. The launch of #ProjectKhushi demonstrates the department’s commitment not only to safeguarding the public but also to prioritizing the long-term welfare of its officers.
