Nawazuddin Siddiqui starts filming ‘Blind Babu’

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has officially started filming his new project Blind Babu, directed by K Ravi Varma. Zee Studios, which is producing and distributing the film, announced the beginning of the shoot on Instagram with pictures of the cast and crew. The photos featured Nawazuddin, director Varma, and veteran actor Pavan Malhotra marking the launch with the traditional clapboard. Actor Zakir Hussain has also joined the cast, making it a strong lineup of seasoned performers.

The studio added to the buzz with a playful caption: Ab bomb phatega ya kuch aur? Get ready for chaos, suspense, and dark comic relief. The journey of Blind Babu begins now! This suggests the film will mix suspense and dark humour, creating an unpredictable thriller with sharp twists.

The combination of Nawazuddin and Pavan Malhotra has already raised audience expectations, as both are known for delivering raw and powerful performances. With Zakir Hussain’s presence, the film promises an engaging blend of tension and character-driven storytelling. Director Varma’s approach hints at a gripping narrative that balances thrills with satire.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin also has another big film on the way—Thama, produced by Maddock Films and starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. In it, he plays a chilling villain, Yakshasan, in a fantasy-horror setting. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thama will arrive during Diwali 2025.

With Blind Babu now rolling and Thama lined up, Nawazuddin continues to prove his versatility, shifting effortlessly between dark humour, menace, and layered storytelling.
