Basil Joseph regrets missing role in Lokah

India’s first major female-led superhero film Lokah is continuing its dream run at the box office. Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and directed by Dominic Arun, the film is now close to crossing ₹200 crore worldwide, with audiences still flocking to theatres.

Amid the film’s success, actor and filmmaker Basil Joseph has expressed regret over turning down a role in Lokah. Speaking in a recent interview, Basil revealed that director Dominic Arun had approached him with an important character and even narrated the full story. However, due to prior work commitments, Basil had to decline the offer.

“I feel really bad now,” Basil said, though he didn’t reveal which role he was offered in the hit film. Many fans are now wondering what the movie would have looked like with Basil in the mix.

Basil was last seen in Hridayapoorvam alongside Mohanlal and has earned praise for both his acting and direction. His next acting role will be in Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara.

He also cleared up recent rumours about directing Allu Arjun, saying they are false.

Meanwhile, Lokah continues to soar, solidifying its place in Indian superhero cinema history.
