Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was seen cleaning up Mumbai’s Juhu Beach just a day after Ganpati Visarjan. The superstar joined hands with volunteers, including Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, and BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, to remove the waste left behind after idol immersions.
Videos from the clean-up drive went viral on social media, showing Akshay picking up trash and putting it into bags with other volunteers. The actor shared his thoughts at the event, highlighting the need for public responsibility in keeping cities clean. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for encouraging this mindset, saying that cleanliness is not only the job of the government or BMC but also the people.
