Alia Bhatt Plans Comedy Movie for Daughter Raha

Alia Bhatt, one of Bollywood’s most versatile actresses, is now looking to try her hand at comedy, a genre she has not explored so far. The actress, who has impressed audiences with powerful performances in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Gully Boy, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, revealed that her daughter Raha has become a key influence in her career choices.

In a recent interview with Grazia, Alia admitted that she hasn’t yet made a film her little one could enjoy. I haven’t made a film that my daughter can watch, so these are little things that come from within, she said. According to her, this personal motivation is drawing her towards lighthearted, family-friendly content. The reason I’m being pulled towards a comedy is because I haven’t done one. You have to find something that inspires you or pulls you towards it, Alia explained.

Speaking about her approach to picking films, the actress shared that she now trusts her instincts more than external suggestions. If you make choices based on calculations or someone else’s advice, you often regret them later. Following your gut makes all the difference, she said, adding that her decisions reflect her life’s changing phases and the world around her.

While she hinted at exciting projects in development, Alia kept details under wraps. Currently, she has two major films on her plate. She is shooting Love and War, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali period romance co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She will also headline Alpha, an action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail.

With her sights now set on comedy, Alia seems ready to explore a lighter side of cinema—one her daughter Raha will be able to enjoy as much as her fans.
