Tollywood’s top stars aim for global stage

Tollywood is setting its sights beyond India, with some of its biggest stars and directors planning major international releases. Leading the charge is SS Rajamouli, who is currently working on GlobeTrotter, a global-scale project backed by a Hollywood marketing team.

Following closely is the massive sci-fi venture by Allu Arjun and director Atlee, tentatively titled AA22xA6. With a budget of Rs 700 crore, it’s one of the costliest Indian films ever made. The team is reportedly in talks with a Hollywood actor for a key role and plans to release the film in eight languages, including Japanese and Spanish.

Meanwhile, Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga are joining the global wave with Spirit, a high-octane cop drama. South Korean star Don Lee may play the villain, and the film will release in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese, aiming to tap into East Asian markets.

Additionally, buzz surrounds NTR and Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film Dragon, which might also go global despite the lukewarm response to NTR’s War 2.

With Bollywood struggling to expand beyond India, Tollywood is boldly venturing into the global cinema arena, aiming to make its mark on the international stage like never before.
