Apple Opens South India’s First Retail Store in Bengaluru

The store employs 70 staff members from 15 states across India, who are capable of assisting customers in Kannada, Hindi, and 25 other regional languages.

Apple inaugurated its first fully-owned retail store in South India on Tuesday, marking the city’s entry into the global tech giant’s retail network. Located at Phoenix Mall of Asia in North Bengaluru, Apple Hebbal is India’s third Apple Store after Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi, both launched in 2023.

The store employs 70 staff members from 15 states across India, capable of assisting customers in Kannada, Hindi, and 25 other regional languages. Despite being smaller than its Mumbai and Delhi counterparts, Apple Hebbal features the brand’s signature minimalist design with a large glass façade, smooth oak tables, and open layouts. Customers can explore iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, iMacs, Apple TVs, Apple Watches, accessories, and more. The store also has a unified pick-up counter and Genius Bar for device setup and repairs.

Apple Hebbal is carbon neutral and runs entirely on renewable energy. It operates as an omnichannel hub, allowing customers to order online or via the Apple app and collect purchases in-store. The store will host Today at Apple sessions, offering tutorials on digital art, video editing, and Apple Intelligence features. Personalized engraving services are available for devices like Apple Pencils, AirTags, and iPads, with multilingual support including Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and more.

Apple has also set up a dedicated Business Team to guide enterprise customers on devices, tools, and financing options. Following Bengaluru, the company will open Apple Koregaon Park in Pune on September 4 and plans to add two more stores in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR later this year, expanding its footprint in India to six stores.
