Union Minister for Communications and Development of North East Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, on Monday highlighted that India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 will go beyond discussions on advanced technologies like 5G, 6G, AI, IoT, and machine-to-machine communication. The event, scheduled from October 8 to 11, will also explore how these innovations can positively impact farmers, students, MSMEs, and society at large.
Speaking at the launch of an AI-powered mobile application for the event, Scindia emphasized that this year’s edition is guided by the theme “innovate and transform,” aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atma Nirbharta (self-reliance) and India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. He described IMC as “a platform of possibilities,” where technology can create meaningful connections, collaborations, and real-world solutions.
The new app aims to enhance participant experience with features like live streaming of sessions, AI-driven personalised recommendations through “IMC Suggests,” and seamless calendar integration. Networking opportunities for delegates, exhibitors, startups, investors, and partners are a key focus, with startups receiving special access to mentors and funders.
Additional tools include an AI-powered “Snippet” feature for creating shareable video clips, a Co-Pilot chatbot for instant assistance, and interactive elements like in-app photo booths, AI-based face recognition galleries, live polls, and contests to engage participants. Scindia noted that IMC 2025 will showcase not only the latest technological trends but also their potential to create new opportunities and hope across society, making it a truly inclusive and transformative event.
