Fans of Ravi Teja will have to wait a little longer for his much-awaited action-comedy Mass Jathara. Sithara Entertainments has officially confirmed that the film, which was initially planned for release on August 27, 2025, has been postponed. The makers cited industry-wide strikes and delays in completing key portions as the reason, and assured that a fresh release date will be announced soon.
The announcement came along with a new poster that openly acknowledges the delay but promises audiences a grand theatrical treat. Directed by Bhanu Bogavarapu, the film features Ravi Teja, popularly called the Mass Maharaja, in the lead role, with young star Sreeleela joining him. The project has been pitched as a full-on entertainer loaded with action, comedy, and energy, tailor-made for Telugu mass audiences.
Though details about the ongoing strikes are limited, the impact has clearly affected multiple industries, with cinema being no exception. Despite these setbacks, Ravi Teja’s box office pull remains strong. Having delivered memorable performances since his 2001 breakthrough Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, he has built a loyal fan base that continues to support him regardless of delays.
While the postponement might disappoint fans, it has also heightened curiosity. With Ravi Teja’s high-voltage screen presence and Sreeleela’s growing popularity, Mass Jathara is being promoted as the BIGGEST MASS FEAST. If the makers deliver on their promise, the wait could turn into a celebration when the film finally hits the big screen.
