BJP Protests Demand NIA Probe into Dharmasthala Case

BJP workers demand National Investigation Agency probe, alleging conspiracy to tarnish Dharmasthala and hurt Hindu sentiments.

Bidar

BJP workers staged a protest in Bidar on Monday, claiming a conspiracy against the Dharmasthala constituency that hurts the sentiments of devotees. The rally, led by MLA Dr. Shailendra K. Beldale, also saw participation from District President Amarnath Patil, former Union Minister Bhagwant Khuba, and other party leaders. Protesters marched through city roads to the Tahsildar’s office, submitting a petition to the Governor demanding an NIA investigation into anti-social and anti-national elements allegedly involved.

BJP leaders alleged that the Congress government’s policies have encouraged forces targeting Hindu religious places, citing atrocities and killings as evidence of growing anti-social activities. They condemned the investigation based on an anonymous complaint and said it was an attempt to tarnish Dharmasthala.

MLA Dr. Beldale emphasized that the conspiracy to blacken Dharmasthala has failed but called for strict legal action against the perpetrators. Former Union Minister Bhagwant Khuba echoed the demand, stating that those behind the attempt must be identified and held accountable to safeguard harmony and protect the sanctity of the holy site.

Other attendees included Rural Mandal BJP President Deepak Gadage, Bidar Urban Mandal President Shashidhar Hosalli, Mahila Morcha District President Ullasini Mudale, and several local party leaders.
