A young man performing wheelies on a high-end bike over the Sigandur Bridge in Sagar taluk was fined by police and made to submit an apology statement.

The incident occurred on August 15, when the biker’s stunts were recorded and went viral on social media. Following the viral video, officers from the Sagar Rural Police Station tracked down the rider and imposed a ₹5,000 fine. The youth has submitted a written statement promising not to repeat such dangerous acts and advised others against performing similar stunts.

The police have registered a formal case against the young man at the Sagar Rural Police Station for reckless riding on a public bridge. Authorities emphasized that performing wheelies or other risky stunts endangers both the rider and the public, especially on bridges and busy roads. The action sends a strong message that traffic laws will be strictly enforced, and violations could result in penalties.

The Sigandur Bridge, recently inaugurated, has become a notable landmark in the region, attracting attention from locals and visitors alike. Officials stress that such behavior not only poses a risk to life but also damages public property and sets a dangerous example for others, particularly youth who may attempt to mimic viral stunts seen online. The police appeal to citizens to respect traffic rules and ensure public safety at all times.
