Whenever comedian Mitra’s name comes up, audiences instantly recall his unforgettable comic scenes. He has also played lead roles in films like Raaga and Parasanga. Recently, he has impressed viewers with powerful performances in films such as Karavali and Landlord, where his new looks have drawn widespread attention. Showcasing his creativity, Mitra has successfully brought the idea of Mantra Mangalya, inspired by the national poet Kuvempu, to reality.
Moving beyond the usual film industry expenses, Mitra has launched a resort called Mantra Mangalya in Anchehalli village, Turvekere taluk, Tumakuru district. The resort is designed to host auspicious ceremonies at a reasonable cost. Alongside this, it serves as a ready-made location for film shoots. Several producers have already visited, exploring the resort for potential projects.
Reflecting on his journey, Mitra says, I have spent over twenty years in this industry fulfilling my dreams. With Mantra Mangalya, our goal is to make ceremonies and film shoots more convenient and affordable. We also plan to offer special support for filmmakers who choose this location.
Through this venture, Mitra not only honors Kannada culture but also provides practical solutions for the film industry, blending tradition, creativity, and opportunity in one unique initiative.
