Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has said winning the PFA Player of the Year award feels extra special when paired with the Premier League title. The Egyptian star beat tough competition from players like Alexis Mac Allister, Bruno Fernandes, and Declan Rice to claim the award for the third time, a record achievement.
“This award hits different when we have an important trophy to go along with it,” Salah shared on social media. “Being champions is what matters, and we will fight to do it again this season. I’m incredibly grateful to the players who voted for me.”
Salah topped voting among his fellow professionals and became the 10th Liverpool player to win this prestigious honor. Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, he has won seven major trophies including the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
Last season, Salah scored 34 goals and provided 23 assists in 52 appearances, setting many records. He recently extended his contract with Liverpool until 2027.
Five Liverpool stars, including Salah, were named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year 2024-25, highlighting the club’s dominance this season.
