Kuvempu University has achieved a significant achievement by securing the 30th rank in the country’s public university ranking recently released by the prestigious magazine Outlook-ICARE.
The university, which made people proud by getting an ‘A’ grade from NAAC last month, has once again achieved a feat that attracts attention at the national level.
The ranking, which evaluates public universities for 1000 points on five criteria, has been fixed at 400 points for academic and research activities, 200 points for industrial exchange, 150 points for infrastructure, 150 points for administration and extension and 100 points for diversity activities.
Kuvempu University has secured 30th position with a total score of 862.25. The rest of the universities in Karnataka have secured 6th position, while Mysore University has secured 8th position, Bangalore University has secured 24th position and Mangalore University has secured 44th position, making it among the top 50 in the country.
Kuvempu University, a proud educational institution of the Malnad region, has once again proved that it provides world-class education to rural students, said Vice Chancellor Prof Sharath Ananthamurthy.
