Bengaluru Prayana will organise a guided heritage walk on September 12 tracing the origins and legacy of the Madras Engineer Group. Titled “Madras Sappers Heritage Trail (Part 1),” the four-hour walk will explore the history and contributions of the Madras Sappers, whose origins date to 1780. The walk will be led by Varun Khanna and Raksha Nagaraj. Scheduled from 7.30 am to 11.30 am, the programme includes breakfast at Lemon Tree Hotel, refreshments and a souvenir. The participation fee is ₹2,000 per person. Participation is limited to 20 people and subject to verification by the Madras Engineer Group. The walk is open only to Indian citizens with a valid Aadhaar card. Participants must submit a copy for security verification.
