The Hindu Jagruti Vedike has condemned an alleged attack on activists of a Hindu organisation in Bengaluru and urged authorities to take strict legal action against those responsible.
Members submitted a petition to Additional District Magistrate Dr. Bhaskar seeking immediate intervention.
According to the organisation, National Defence Force activists Puneeth Kerehalli, Murali and others were allegedly attacked by unidentified persons in Bengaluru on August 26. Office-bearers claimed the incident involved abusive language, inflammatory slogans and inappropriate behaviour. They urged the police to investigate the matter and take action according to law.
Hindu Jagruti Vedike district president Nandi Vinod said such incidents could disturb peace and social harmony. He asked the district administration and police to treat the complaint seriously and arrest those found responsible. He also sought preventive measures to ensure similar incidents do not happen again.
The organisation further requested authorities to provide necessary protection to Hindu activists and strengthen measures to maintain public order. Members said timely action would help prevent tensions and reassure people that complaints involving violence would be dealt with fairly.
District president Nandi Vinod, Social Network district president Nandi Deepak, Harish, Manjunatha Gowda, Bank Narayanaswamy, Sandeep, Yashwant, Vishal, Tejas, Vikas, Vishwas, Samarth and Karthik were among those present when the petition was submitted. The group urged authorities to ensure a proper investigation and lawful action.
