Local leaders in Magadi taluk have announced development works worth crores for the road leading to Sri Basaveshwara Temple in Rlahalli village. Congress leader K. Krishnamurthy said the project includes road widening and concrete construction under the CMIDP scheme with an estimated cost of 3.50 crore rupees. He added that another nearby stretch of road will be developed at a cost of around 8 crore rupees to improve travel for devotees and residents. A guddalipuja was performed at the temple site to mark the start of the works, with MLA HC Balakrishna and local leaders participating in the ceremony.
Officials said the project aims to ease narrow road issues near the temple and provide better access for visitors and the local community. Leaders also stated that development work is part of a larger plan to strengthen infrastructure in the region and support daily commuters. They urged people to ignore political criticism and support ongoing projects, saying development should remain the main focus of public discussion. Congress representatives said booth level meetings and public outreach programs will continue to strengthen the party and promote development activities. Party leaders including local committee members, trustees and community workers were present during the event and supported the initiative strongly. The program highlighted government funding efforts and assured that promised infrastructure projects would be completed in phases for public benefit.
Residents expressed hope that the improved road connectivity to the temple will boost local economy, ease pilgrim movement, and ensure long term development of Rlahalli village while authorities promised timely completion of works with transparency and cooperation from all stakeholders involved in the project execution
