Additional Superintendent of Police Gangadhar Swami said Shankaracharya spread a message of humanity and worked for the welfare of the world. He was speaking at the Sri Shankaracharya Jayanti programme held at Kalamandir in Mandya, organised by District Administration, Kannada and Culture Department. He said Shankaracharya promoted Advaita philosophy and strengthened values of Hinduism that guide society even today. He urged people to follow his ideals to maintain peace and harmony in society.
Assistant Director B V Nandish and leaders Shankaranarayana Shastri, B G Uma, and Gopalakrishna Shenoy attended the programme. The programme highlighted Shankaracharya’s contribution to spiritual thought and his role in spreading unity among people. Speakers said his teachings continue to inspire society to live with respect, discipline and understanding. The event saw participation from officials, cultural representatives and community leaders who paid tribute to his legacy and remembered his message of oneness and peace. The programme concluded with gratitude to all participants.
