Bidar DC inspects government children’s homes

Bidar Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma visited the Government Boys’ Children’s Home and Government Girls’ Children’s Home in the city and reviewed the facilities and services provided to the children.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the residential arrangements, sanitation, basic infrastructure, food facilities and overall management of the homes. She also reviewed whether the children were receiving the required facilities and support.

Sharma later interacted with the children and enquired about their health, education and general well-being. She encouraged them to study sincerely and make full use of the opportunities available to them.

“Education is the foundation for progress. Every child should give priority to studies and make the best use of the opportunities available,” she told the children. She also urged them to remain focused on their goals and work towards building a bright future.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of providing children living in government homes with a safe, clean and supportive environment. She reviewed the facilities available at the homes and took note of the requirements that need attention.

The visit was aimed at assessing the living conditions of the children and ensuring that government-supported facilities are functioning properly. Officials accompanying the Deputy Commissioner briefed her about the arrangements and activities at the homes.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Surekha, Assistant Commissioner Abhinav Jain and District Child Protection Officer Sharada Kalmalkar were present during the inspection.
