Tension prevailed in Bangarapet after hundreds of people staged a protest demanding the arrest of all those allegedly involved in an incident involving alleged inappropriate behaviour towards a six-year-old girl. The protesters blocked the road near the Bangarapet police station, expressing anger over the arrest of only one accused.

The incident reportedly occurred when the girl had gone to a Nandini milk parlour. A 37-year-old man, identified as Raghavendra, who allegedly runs the parlour, was accused of behaving inappropriately with the minor. Following protests on September 3, police arrested Raghavendra in connection with the case.

However, the matter took a fresh turn after allegations emerged that another person, identified as Yogesh, was also involved. Family members and members of the community associated with the girl demanded that police register a case against all those allegedly involved and take appropriate legal action.

On Sunday, a large number of women and residents gathered near Hospital Circle in Bangarapet and blocked the road. Protesters questioned why only one person had been arrested even though three days had passed since the alleged incident. They demanded immediate action against the other accused.

Former MP S Muniswamy also visited the spot and supported the demand for registration of cases against all three persons allegedly connected with the incident. Police officials attempted to pacify the protesters as the gathering led to heightened tension in the area.

KGF Superintendent of Police Shivamshu Rajput assured the protesters that a case would be registered against the additional accused based on the available information. Following the assurance, the protesters withdrew their agitation and the situation gradually returned to normal.

Police have now begun further investigation into the allegations. Officials said the exact role of each person would be established during the inquiry. The case has drawn attention to the need for swift action in cases involving minors and proper investigation before determining the involvement of additional suspects.
