An elderly woman stopped Minister H.C. Balakrishna’s car while he was travelling towards Magadi and warmly invited him home for lunch. The woman, identified as Devamma, removed the evil eye and blessed the minister, wishing him greater success. Recalling his visit to her neighbourhood during an election campaign, Devamma said she had then blessed him to win and was happy that he had become a minister. She jokingly questioned him about his criticism of H.D. Kumaraswamy and invited him home for a meal. She also complained about stagnant sewage water near her house and requested immediate action. Balakrishna assured her that the issue would be resolved soon.
