The incident has triggered questions about how individuals with serious criminal allegations were allowed to enter the commissioner’s office and felicitate the newly appointed officer. Meanwhile, another controversy has emerged in Kalaburagi district. Sangita, PSI of Ganagapur Police Station, has reportedly invited rowdy-sheeter Maruti to the station and hosted him as a VIP. Photographs of the alleged felicitation at the police station have circulated widely, drawing criticism from the public.
Reports also allege that the PSI attended a birthday celebration with the rowdy-sheeter. Maruti was also reportedly present at an Ekata Run organised by the police department.
