Vijay, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun In Laalo Race

The Telugu remake of Gujarati devotional hit Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate is attracting interest from several producers, with major stars being considered separately.

The 2025 film, directed by Ankit Sakhiya, became the highest-grossing Gujarati film after collecting more than Rs 122.25 crore worldwide. Made on a reported budget of about Rs 50 lakh, the film has now caught the attention of the Telugu industry.

According to source India, three to four production houses are discussing a partnership with the original team. Reports that Vijay Deverakonda has replaced Ram Charan as Lord Krishna are not confirmed. Both actors are reportedly being considered by different producers, and no casting or production deal has been finalized.

Filmmaker and producer Dil Raju is reportedly in early discussions with Vijay Deverakonda for the role of Krishna. In the original, the character was played by Shruhad Goswami.

Meanwhile, producer Mahaveer Jain is reportedly pitching the remake with Ram Charan as Krishna. Jain is also said to be considering Allu Arjun for the role of the rickshaw driver.

Original producer Jay Vyas recently said discussions are continuing with producers for different languages.

I am in talks with three to four producers, including for different languages, so nothing has been finalized yet. Discussions are still underway, Vyas said.

The original team is expected to choose its production partner within a month. Telugu casting and crew decisions will follow. Interest has also come from Tamil, Punjabi and Odia industries, while a Hindi remake is currently not being pursued.
