Actor Sharman Joshi has completed shooting for Golmaal 5, marking his return to the popular comedy franchise. The Rohit Shetty directorial is now in post-production, with the makers preparing the film for its eventual release.
Sharman, who will reprise his much-loved role as Laxman, spoke warmly about working again with Ajay Devgn. He described the reunion as a beautiful opportunity and said he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Working with Ajay sir in Golmaal has been a very beautiful opportunity for me, which I got once again. I have truly enjoyed this journey, Sharman said.
The actor also confirmed that filming has been completed and post-production work is already progressing. He added that the team would bring the film before audiences very soon.
Golmaal 5 began filming in March this year, bringing together several familiar faces from the franchise. The cast includes Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Sharman Joshi.
The film went on floors on Rohit Shetty’s birthday. Sharing his excitement on social media, the filmmaker recalled that the first Golmaal was released 20 years ago and changed his life.
Shetty thanked audiences for supporting the franchise over the years. He said the team had entertained viewers and sometimes disappointed them, but had always remained honest in its work.
With shooting now wrapped and post-production underway, Golmaal 5 is expected to continue the franchise’s long-running comic journey, while its returning cast aims to recreate the familiar fun for audiences across generations in theatres soon.
