Japan’s Consul General Nawata Hiroshi visited the Karnataka Olympic Association office at Kanteerava Stadium and met KOA President and Legislative Council member Dr. K. Govindaraju on Friday.
During the meeting, Govindaraju explained the association’s activities after Hiroshi viewed photographs of Olympians and Arjuna Award winners displayed in the Hall of Fame. Hiroshi appreciated KOA’s work and said he would support efforts to promote sports development in Karnataka.
Hiroshi also visited the indoor and outdoor stadiums at Kanteerava. Dr. Govindaraju honoured the Japanese diplomat with a Mysuru turban. KOA officials were present during the visit and meeting.
